Saugus structure fire does $200,000 in damage

A structure fire damaged a Saugus home early Sunday morning, officials said.

The blaze caused $200,000 in damage to the one story, single, family home according to Sgt. Michael Konecny of the SCV Sherriff’s Station.

“That was a car fire that caught the garage on fire,” he said.

The fire was reported at 3:30 a.m. on the 29000 block of Luzon Drive.

The fire was knocked down by 4:06 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.

According to the L.A. County Fire Department,  high Santa Ana winds probably had no effect on the structure fire.
