Kingman Ho named chief medical officer at Henry Mayo

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital has named Dr. Kingman Ho to its Executive Leadership Team where he will serve as vice president of Professional Services and chief medical officer (CMO). In his role as CMO, Dr. Ho will act as the primary liaison between hospital leadership and medical staff facilitating communication and collaboration.

Among his responsibilities will be working closely with medical staff and leadership to oversee strategic patient quality and safety initiatives while fostering cross functional collaborative teamwork with the Chief of Staff, department and committee chairs, and other physician leaders.

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Ho has extensive experience both as a physician and as a senior healthcare executive managing operations at outpatient and inpatient healthcare facilities.  Most recently he served as medical director of adult hospitalist medicine at University of Washington Medicine Valley Medical Center in Renton, Wash.  In addition he served as vice president of operations at Southlake Clinic, also in Renton.

Dr. Ho has received numerous honors and recognitions including being named Top Doctor by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine for the past four years, the University of Washington Medicine Cares Award, the National Institutes of Health Award of Recognition and the Johns Hopkins University William McElroy Award.

Dr. Ho received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, then obtained a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey—Robert Wood Johnson.  He completed a residency and an internship in internal medicine from Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and recently received his master’s degree in business from University of Washington Foster School.
