Monday’s may be difficult for some, but if you want to see enthusiastic faces using the morning to enjoy good work, come meet this group.

Using their time and talent to create projects for so many good local causes brings joy to these ladies and the camaraderie they share is a bonus.  Helping each other through knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, and cross stitch projects comes naturally.

Softball team fundraiser? You bet, knitted hats and blankets for tiny babes? of course, and their ongoing creation of items to sell in support of Senior Center projects are just a few of their recent endeavors.

They create lovely items for their own needs as well, but are quick to point out supplies donated to the center are always earmarked for charitable works only.

When you see one of their table sales around town, why not buy a handcrafted treasure? You’ll walk away with something made with love and surely supporting good causes.

If you have yarn or related supplies to donate you can call the center at 661-259-9444 for details. SCV Senior Center’s Arts and Crafts group meets Monday mornings at 9 a.m.
