As the Santa Clarita Philharmonic embarks on its fourth season of bringing professional level classical music to the Santa Clarita Valley, we have a need for additional musicians. We have vacancies in our French horn and trombone sections. We are always ready to welcome all string players, especially violas, cellos, and basses. Auditions are not required. Interested musicians capable of mastering the classical music repertoire are invited to attend our rehearsals to see how they may fit in. The orchestra rehearses on Tuesday evenings at Rio Norte Jr. High School in Valencia from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more information, please call (661) 513-0589 or write to [email protected].

The Santa Clarita Philharmonic has scheduled 3 concerts this season. The first concert was on November 6, and featured music from American composers and showcased solo performances from several of our principal musicians. The next concert on February 26, 2017 will be our annual “pops” concert featuring music from Broadway shows and Hollywood films. We will also be presenting a cabaret performance by the pop music group Emeralde, with full orchestra accompaniment. The concert on May 21, 2017 will feature the winner of our third annual Student Concerto Competition. All concerts are at the Hart High School Auditorium at 3 p.m. and are free to the public.
