SCV Sheriff’s Haunted Jailhouse & Open House Sunday

News release issued by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

 

 

Rain or Shine! The 27th Annual Haunted Jailhouse & Community Open House event will be held this Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station located at 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, Santa Clarita.

The event will include Sheriff’s Department displays, music, food trucks, children’s exotic petting zoo and challenging game booths provided by non-profit organizations and businesses from throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. Game tickets will vary in cost for the game booths. You can even visit the “Douse a Deputy Booth” for a chance at drenching the station commander and local deputies.

Children ages 6 and older, along with their parents, can tour the Sheriff’s Haunted Jailhouse decorated by the SCV Boys and Girls Club.  Hart High School ASB designed a separate Halloween tour area specifically designed  for children under age 6. A suggested donation of $2 will be collected at the entry gate, which will be donated to the SCV Boys and Girls Club.

There will be a Costume Costume with trophies awarded in each category. Costume Judging: Under 2 at 12:30 p.m., Ages 2 – 4 at 1:00 p.m., Ages 5 – 7 at 1:30 p.m., Ages 8 – 10 at 2:00 p.m., Ages 11 – 12 at 2:30 p.m. and Ages 13 – Adult at 3:00 p.m.

The combined effort of community partnerships provides a safe, fun, and adventurous Halloween outing that many look forward to each year!
