Two injured after vehicle rolls down embankment

Two people were transported to the hospital after a vehicle rolled down an embankment and caught fire in the Plum Canyon area Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Emergency response crews initially responded to the incident shortly before 12:30 p.m. near the 19000 block of Griffith Drive.

The vehicle caught fire, but not before bystanders pulled the occupants of the vehicle out of the car, witnesses said.

The blaze was out by the time fire officials arrived on scene.

No information was immediately available about the extent of the victim’s injuries.
