The Trinity Classical Academy girls volleyball team won its first Heritage League title this season. It advanced to its first-ever CIF-Southern Section quarterfinal, too.

But a trip to the Division 9 semifinals wasn’t in the cards.

The Knights lost, 3-2, to San Gabriel Academy on the road Saturday night.

Game scores were 25-12, 21-25, 25-27, 25-18 and 15-9.

The Knights end their season at 14-11-1.
