Now that the election is over, it seems as if supporters of Hillary are engaging in activities formerly reserved for the extreme side of the Trump campaign.

If we truly are the democracy we think we are, we must observe the rule of law. No, you might not be happy with the result, but did you vote? Did you get your friends or family to vote? Watch the debates?

Anyone who did not vote has absolutely no reason to gripe about anything.

I chose not to vote for either candidate for president because neither, I felt, deserved my vote. So I have nothing to complain about due to my actions.

I did vote for every other race, both candidates and propositions. However, what do we do now with the country almost exactly split in half?

How about responding to those we disagree with, rather than retaliating? How about listening rather than shouting?

It seems that everything is upside down. Remember when Trump said he would not accept the results of the election and it was rigged? Well, he won the “rigged” election!

Bottom line: we must observe the rule of law. We should not be in the streets protesting – although we have that right. We voted, and the numbers say Trump.

We must not turn into those who said they will not honor the election process and that it is rigged. Our system is our system; if your candidate lost, you have to look at your own party.

If you are a Democrat you need to exam why Hillary did not visit the rust belt, Michigan, and more importantly why so many people literally hated her.

If you are a Republican, you need to examine your morals. I think many Republicans flip-flopped on Trump. I think the promise you had your candidates sign was just plain silly.

Clearly both parties have alienated almost 50,000,000 people each. Both parties have a lot of work to do – or even better, perhaps a third party could address the real issues this country has to deal with.

Trump supporters have devolved into an “alt-right posse”, talking about the rule of law, while ignoring Russian collusion with the Trump campaign, since this collusion, which combined with Cowardly Comey’s acts, almost certainly stole this election. Since the posse’s reaction is that they are happy to benefit from stolen goods, decent people are challenged to take action. An open letter, posted on Facebook and pasted below, suggests a very fruitful avenue for bringing the thieves to justice, and LOCKING THEM UP (you may e-mail this message, or one of your own choosing, to the Attorney General at :
    https://www.justice.gov/contact-us)

    Nov. 14, 2016

    Attorney General Loretta Lynch
    U.S. Department of Justice
    950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
    Washington, DC 20530-0001

    Ms. Attorney General:

I am writing to you in response to numerous news reports from reputable sources in which a senior Russian diplomat is quoted as saying that Russian government officials had contacts with members of Donald Trump’s campaign team. A sample report from the Washington Post is cited between the dotted lines below:
    ————————————————————————————————–
By David Filipov and Andrew Roth
    November 10

MOSCOW — Russian government officials had contacts with members of Donald Trump’s campaign team, a senior Russian diplomat said Thursday, in a disclosure that could reopen scrutiny over the Kremlin’s role in the president-elect’s bitter race against Hillary Clinton.

Facing questions about his ties to Moscow because of statements interpreted as lauding Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump repeatedly denied having any contact with the Russian government.

After the latest statement by the Russian diplomat, Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks denied that there were interactions between Russia and the Trump team before Tuesday’s election.

“The campaign had no contact with Russian officials,” she said in an email.

But Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Sergei Ryabkov, said in an interview with the state-run Interfax news agency that “there were contacts” with the Trump team.
    ————————————————————————————————–
Therefore, I believe this specific subject needs to be investigated further. These findings indicate there has been inappropriate and unlawful interference by a foreign government with a US Presidential election

The nature of these communications, and whether any quid-pro-quo was stated or implied, and any related helpful actions to Trump by the Russians, are of grave concern to our democracy. This issue should be added onto existing concerns regarding the conclusion by US intelligence officials that Russians at the highest level were complicit in dumping hacked/stolen documents via WikiLeaks into the election process. There is no doubt that this interference via Wikileaks gave fodder to Trump’s campaign in their assault upon Hillary Clinton and her associates.

This damage to Hillary Clinton’s campaign were compounded by the egregious serial violations by James Comey in violating established protocols regarding Hillary Clinton’s emails, culminating in both an “October Surprise” as well as a “November Surprise” (too late to repair the damage). As you know, James Comey’s actions were not only totally reckless, but exceeded the bounds of his role in the DOJ.

As such, these numerous “smoking guns” involving actions of the Russians and the Trump campaign could easily have been responsible for tipping the close election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

As it now stands, it is likely we have an imposter President-elect in Donald Trump, whereby his “victory” in the election was purchased by nefarious means.

The nature of the connections between Russia and the Trump campaign could violate US law and be part of a coup by a foreign power to sway the results of our election, and as such constitute treason by Americans, and hostile actions by a foreign power. This is too volatile a subject to be left to James Comey, who should recuse himself from any investigations regarding Donald Trump and Secretary Clinton, both ongoing and in the future.

Due to the fact that these issues are being raised during the Presidential transition period, it is essential for the DOJ to immediately assign a special prosecutor to investigate this thoroughly. Having a special prosecutor in place before the change of administration can help to ensure that this inquiry is not squelched by an administration that owes its existence to a crime of the highest order.

I’m enjoying your real time demonstration of the Kübler-Ross model, Mr. Shalom. 🙂

  • noonan

Is “alt-right” the newest idiotic insult the left has? Just so that I know to laugh at them whenever it’s used. Oh no, I’m an alt-right person, whatever that means.

You lefties realize there is a lesson to be learned right? But no, instead you’re going to double down on stupid.

  • Ed Shalom

    Noonan:

Regarding cheap insults, the left cannot compete with Donald John (“Don Juan”) Humpty Dumpty Trump, or Melania TRAMP….More than a million “lefties” voted for Secretary Clinton than for your sexual criminal Don Juan… this incestuous pervert, who deserves to be locked up, will likely go down in flames – not for his sexual crimes, as for the fact that he got in bed with Putin to steal this election….

    Have a good day !!!

    • Ed Shalom: “Regarding cheap insults…” and everything that followed that was said without the slightest hint of irony.

Ed Shalom: truly a World Class Hypocrite.

I am LOVING the fact that liberals and Democrats are blaming their failures on racism, sexism, and the Russians!

It’s this kind of blind loyalty to their political party and denial of their own flaws that has cost them the vast majorities of state legislatures, governor races, and majorities in the House of Representatives, the Senate, and now the White House!

This kind of goofy and arrogant thinking has left them practically impotent. At this rate they will become just a regional party of a few coastal states full of crazy liberals like we’re seeing in these wacky protests.

  • Nishka

” Civil rights groups, Democrats and some Republican Party strategists on Monday denounced President-elect Donald J. Trump’s decision to appoint Stephen K. Bannon to a top White House position, warning that Mr. Bannon represents nationalist and racist views that should be rejected by the incoming president.” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nohatejustdebate

For years America has already been a nation turned up side down. Perhaps new we have a chance to turn it right side up!

  • noonan

Calling Trump’s wife a tramp now huh? I could be wrong, but doesn’t that warrant some name calling on my part directed to you? War on women or something like that?

Shalom, how come it’s not ok for Trump to call a woman fat but it’s ok for you to call one a tramp?

Incestuous? There ya go! What else can you think of to call him? The more outrageous, the better! Rest assured Shalom ol buddy, I am having a good day. It’s the 6th one in a row and each day I think it might not be as great as yesterday, but people like you keep making it great for me.

Here’s a final election tidbit for you to suck on: 33 GOP govs vs. 17 for Dems. 69 legislative houses in GOP control 29 for Dems. 25 states with GOP gov and legislature 5 for Dems. 52 Senators vs. 48 and you have to defend 25 in 2018 and GOP only 8. A forty person majority in the House and over 1,000 more state legislators than the Dem party. One half of all Dem House members come from three states, CA, MA, and NY. And finally, the Supreme Court!

You and people like you are fast tracking their way to irrelevance unless you live in the cesspool known as California. Incestuous pervert? You go girl, keep it up!

  • noonan

“Trump’s decision to appoint Stephen K. Bannon to a top White House position, warning that Mr. Bannon represents nationalist and racist views ”

Lois, can you please prove to me Bannon is a racist? As for him being a nationalist, did it ever occur to you and your four brain cells that being a nationalist isn’t necessarily a bad thing especially after having such an anti-American president like Obozo?

  • Nishka

Bannon is a racist, bigot, antisemitic, fear monger, fascist and a NATIONALIST !!!!!!!

  • noonan

I know, you said he was a racist, I’m just asking you to show me where you get that. I would also be interested in your thoughts on how he is a bigot, anti-Semite, fear monger, and fascist. Do you not yet understand Lois that your mud slinging, unfounded thus far, is one of the very reasons you and yours got your butts handed to you so bad? I also told you it’s ok for him to be a nationalist, we need a bit more of that in our country. I also wonder when and if Iran nukes Israel because of that horrible deal Obozo made with them, will he be a bigger anti-Semite than Bannon?

I just read that Repubs are only 3 legislative state houses away from being able to amend the constitution without any Dem input. Wouldn’t that be something? Can you imagine the name calling then? Heeeheeee…..

  • Nishka

“Bannon is of the alt-right movement an amorphous movement. Some — mostly Establishment types — insist it’s little more than a vehicle for the worst dregs of human society: anti-Semites, white supremacists, and other members of the Stormfront set. “

Nishka: “Bannon is a racist, bigot, antisemitic, fear monger, fascist and a NATIONALIST !!!!!!!”

Nishka, you should read some of Lois Eisenberg’s letters to the editor. She strongly condemns this kind of uncivil discourse on these threads.

  • noonan

Ok, for the third time, can you provide me something showing me an example of Bannon’s racism. Since “mostly establishment types” agree with you, I would think it wouldn’t be a hard thing to prove. Oh well, at least you have Jew loving Obama for another couple months. He is a true friend of the Jew and Israel.

I wonder how irrelevant your party would have to become for you to practice a bit of introspection Lois. You do realize you’re on the precipice of irrelevancy?

  • noonan

“There are three civil suits accuse Trump the university’s former president……”

I guess that’s not as bad as a couple FBI investigations! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Still can’t prove Bannon is a racist Lois? Should I ask you using smaller words?

    • Brian Baker

Yep. It’s funny how Lois just can’t seem to get that. A civil suit versus a federal criminal investigation… actual a couple of them.

      Lois: “Meh… no big deal…”

  • Ed Shalom

I observed the last three posts referred to Lois in a very hostile and supercilious way. I am not sure who Lois is (perhaps she is “Nishka”), but I’d like her to know I support her, and her point of view, and her right to express it without intimidation, 100%. I’ve seen a number of situations where a pack of cranky and disturbed right-wingers gang up on a liberal poster like a pack of rabid hyenas. We must never succumb to them.
PS 1: I post in spurts, but must wonder at these jackals who seem to not have a life, and do this non-stop. If they really want to help society, they could do something real for a change.
PS 2: We must be patient, and hope that Don Juan Trump carries out all his campaign promises….they will result in revulsion and shock across the country, esp. when the uneducated white guys find out that Trump is an imposter.

    • Brian Baker

Uh oh! We forgot to issue trigger warnings so Lois/Nishka/projalice and Shalom could scamper off and find their safe spaces! “Intimidation” Alert!

God, dude, you’re hilarious. “Intimidation”? Really? Priceless…

Have you paid any attention to a single headline since Tuesday? And how all the libbie loons are setting their hair on fire, even beating up people they ASSUMED had voted for Trump simply based on their race? Screaming and burning stuff down, blocking freeways, and just generally acting like a-holes? Has all of that escaped your attention?

Or how about all the arrogant columns here by the resident Dem/socialists for the last year and a half attempting to ridicule anyone who wasn’t on the Hildebeest train? Did’ja miss all of that, too?

Jeez, you whiny libs and your eternal victimhood are enough to gag a horse.

However, there’s elements of transition to stage 2.

      2. Anger – When the individual recognizes that denial cannot continue, they become frustrated, especially at proximate individuals. Certain psychological responses of a person undergoing this phase would be: “Why me? It’s not fair!”; “How can this happen to me?”; ‘”Who is to blame?”; “Why would this happen?”.

  • tech

I’d place you and Nishka at this stage, Mr. Shalom:

    1. Denial – The first reaction is denial. In this stage individuals believe the diagnosis is somehow mistaken, and cling to a false, preferable reality.

And yet, the same people who applauded this classless move are whining the loudest that the election was unfair. Noonan and others crow about Don Juan’s tremendous victory, even though Secretary Clinton got at least 1,000,000 more votes than he did.

The Paula Jones inquisition by persecutor Kenneth Starr (who resigned in disgrace from the head of Baylor university for ignoring rapes on campus by the football team) never claimed that Bill Clinton was a sex criminal. In case you did not know this, sexual harassment must involve unwelcome sexual overtures, and there was never any doubt whatsoever that relations between Clinton and Monica Lewinsky was consensual acts between adults. (BTW, did you know that Monica Lewinsky endorsed Hillary Clinton ! So much for her being an “enabler”). Finally, even if you choose to believer Bill Clinton was a sexual molester, the fact is that he was not deemed to be one when he ran for President, just like we did not know Nixon was a criminal when he was elected. Can you imagine us voting for Nixon if we knew he was a criminal ?

I must stand with Trump supporters who WANT him to try to carry out his campaign promises, such as creating a deportation force, trying (one more time !) to jail his political opponent, taking to court the dozen women who detailed his sexual attacks upon themselves, banning Muslims from entering the US, lowering taxes on the rich while increasing spending on defense, return us to the days of hanger-wire abortions, making America grope again, and so on…..MAKE MY DAY !

PS: We know it does not affect Don Juan supporters in the least to know that he likely owes his election to interference by agents of Putin in our democracy. Recent statements make it clear that this does concern Republican senators such as L. Graham and J. McCain. Because of the short term benefit to Don Juan lemmings, they are willing to turn a blind eye to attacks upon America. This is a great example of treason, and we eagerly await the day when Don Juan leads his treasonous lemmings over the cliff.

Bill Clinton got a BJ in the oval office from an intern. • Ed Shalom

Did not know that “Nohatejustdebate” is part of the dysfunctional Don Juan transition team: talk about delusions of grandeur !!!

However, let me repeat my position to Don Juan lemmings:

“I must stand with Trump supporters who WANT him to try to carry out his campaign promises, such as creating a deportation force, trying (one more time !) to jail his political opponent, taking to court the dozen women who detailed his sexual attacks upon themselves, banning Muslims from entering the US, lowering taxes on the rich while increasing spending on defense, return us to the days of hanger-wire abortions, making America grope again, and so on”

Puleeze…go over the cliff, and MAKE MY DAY !

“Trump’s campaign made it safe to hate again.”

    • noonan

Yes Lois, apparently it did make is safe to hate again as your side of precious snowflakes are demonstrating on a daily basis. How embarrassing it must be knowing that these safe space children are on your side. We’re not laughing with you.

  • noonan

I also noticed that nohate. Yet another thing that makes me smile. Day 8 now!

Also, did Ed say something and did Lois parrot something she read at Salon or on MSLSD?

  • Nishka

“Far-right nationalism has been on the rise in Europe in recent years, and now Donald Trump has brought it to the United States.”

    • noonan

Yea, so? I personally think that’s a good thing. Unless you’re on the side of Mexico, China, and the cretins at the UN.

    • Bobs Rizzo

When all the non-racist, non-misogynist, non-homophobic, non-bigoted, everyday ordinary people get so sick of you calling them racist, misogynist, homophobes, and bigots that they go out and vote against your candidate, do you:

      (A) Reevaluate your personal conduct and strategy of convincing people to share your politics?

      or

      (B) Call them racist, misogynists, homophobes, and bigots and yell at them even more?

      Looks like you chose (B).
And that is why your candidate lost.

    • Bobs Rizzo

You have to hear this to believe this. They ACTUALLY believe this stuff haha.

This is Hillary’s former campaign communications director Jess McIntosh . Hmm, call me crazy, but maybe telling white females that they are sexists and hate themselves isn’t the best way to coax them over to your side.

Simply amazing, is it not? Folks generally object to being insulted and run down publicly. Who knew?

As if women can’t look after their own interests and need to be patronizingly told what it is instead. We’ve had women governors, senior cabinet members, party nominees, Congressional and state office holders, etc. Those are all leadership positions. Why can’t they accept that Hillary Clinton was an abysmal choice who failed during 2 attempts to become President? There’s no question that a woman of the caliber of a Secretary Condolezza Rice would be very competitive because she’s very competent and scandal free.

The more this externalization of failure is done, the longer Democrats will be in the political wilderness.

Recollecting your castration posts, you have a curious obsession with genitals, Mr. Shalom.

  • Ed Shalom

    Tech:

I am really impressed by your memory – perhaps my “purple prose” of years ago hit the mark….As I recall, during a forum debate about the Iraq war, I commented that the Bush/Blair twins were part of a “castrati choir” who lied to get us into the most senseless and horrific sacrifice of 5,000 of our bravest young men and women, not to mention the murder of perhaps 1,000,000 innocent Iraqi civilians. (History buffs will recognize the practice in Europe of castrating young male choir members to preserve their high voices).

While the SCV right wingers and Bush dead-enders at the time contested the assertion that GWB actually lied to justify the Iraqi invasion, it was truly heartening to me to hear Donald make this charge to Jeb Bush during the debates – it likely was one of the coffin nails for the Bush dynasty.

Now the alt-right choir must decide what tune to sing in high falsetto: Either GWB was a liar, or Donald is a liar. Which do you choose ?

    • tech

Adolescent polemics are memorable, Mr. Shalom.

  • Ed Shalom

    Tech:

I must declare victory – you refuse to even address the subject of the sex crimes by the future Groper-In-Chief of the US. Your “pimply adolescent” retorts are a real joke – why don’t you stop posting if you refuse to make a single factual statement ?

You refuse to acknowledge the horrible quandary you are in: “Now the alt-right choir must decide what tune to sing in high falsetto: Either GWB was a liar, or Donald is a liar. Which do you choose ?”

What is, and will be VERY memorable, is that a Republican President of the United States will be on record as stating that George Bushitler LIED to get us into Iraq. Kinda worse than focusing on 4 lives lost in Benhazi, isn’t it ? Can the alt-right posse rewrite the history books to get around this fundamental betrayal of American values ? Can you and Don Juan just throw 5,000 brave young Americans under the bus ? HAVE YOU NO SHAME ?????

HE will run the government like HE ran his businesses:

Statement By A.G. Schneiderman On $25 Million Settlement Agreement Reached In Trump University Case

NEW YORK – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued the following statement on the $25 million settlement agreement reached in Trump University case:

In 2013, my office sued Donald Trump for swindling thousands of innocent Americans out of millions of dollars through a scheme known as Trump University. Donald Trump fought us every step of the way, filing baseless charges and fruitless appeals and refusing to settle for even modest amounts of compensation for the victims of his phony university. Today, that all changes. Today’s $25 million settlement agreement is a stunning reversal by Donald Trump and a major victory for the over 6,000 victims of his fraudulent university.

I am pleased that under the terms of this settlement, every victim will receive restitution and that Donald Trump will pay up to $1 million in penalties to the State of New York for violating state education laws. The victims of Trump University have waited years for today’s result and I am pleased that their patience–and persistence–will be rewarded by this $25 million settlement.
