A good Samaritan was allegedly kicked in the head after trying to break up a fight between two men later arrested on suspicion of assault.

The street fight broke out in a parking lot near the intersection of Cinema Drive and Valencia Boulevard in Valencia, about 2 a.m. Saturday, Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station told The Signal Tuesday.

“During the fight one man broke the other man’s nose,” she said.

“Employees from the business intervened in the fight and the other suspect kicked the employee.”

Both men were arrested on suspicion of assault – one man for the broken nose injury, the other man for kicking the employee who tried to intervene.

Arrested were Gabriel Gilberto Garcia, 30, of Canyon Country, and Jose Villalpando, 22, of North Hollywood.

Bail for the two suspects was set at $30,000 and $50,000 respectively.

Both men were scheduled to appear today in San Fernando Superior Court.
