Pedestrian injured in Canyon Country collision, taken to hospital

A pedestrian was injured Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Canyon Country.

The patient, identified by one firefighter as an adult with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

The crash happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on Delight Street at Bakerton Avenue, Vanessa Lozano, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Paramedics were dispatched to the incident at 9:24 a.m. and arrived there at 9:30 a.m., she said.

“This was for a traffic collision involving a pedestrian,” Lozano said.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station also responded to the collision.

“The pedestrian had minor injuries and was taken to Henry Mayo,” Lt. Rob Hahnlein told The Signal.
