Richard Myers: Trade water for worthless bullet train

I believe the California bullet train is moving along – slowly, perhaps, but moving along. And I think it should be stopped in its unlaid tracks.

Consider this: If the train is actually up and running, what percentage of the California population will be riding? One in a hundred? Certainly not.

One in a thousand? No way. One in 10,000? No chance.

So I ask our politicians this question: Is this the best use of our tax dollars? The answer should be obvious.

Furthermore, consider this: If we used the bullet train money to build needed desalination plants, what percentage of the population would benefit?

How about 100 percent! That’s right – everyone! We need water for so many things, and if our people in Sacramento can’t understand this, perhaps they are drinking something other than water.
