For the first time the attendees of the annual Holiday Family Party where able to dance to music from booming speakers as a DJ spun his disks under the festive holiday decorations at the event held at the City of Santa Clarita: Newhall Community Center ion Friday evening.

A line formed in the lobby as children crowded forward to have their photo taken with Santa as he settled into his big red velvet chair at 7:30 PM, flanked by decorated Christmas trees.

Seven-year-old Estrella Almaraz and her two sibblings raced into the main room after smiling for the cameras with Santa as they joined the dozens of attendees of all ages, wearing Santa hats and holiday colors, as they jumped and danced along with the music.
