Sheriffs detained at least one person Saturday afternoon after a vehicle intentionally rammed into another vehicle in an alleged road rage incident at a Chevron parking lot on Newhall Avenue and Sierra Highway in Newhall, according to officials with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

The call was reported around 4:10 p.m. and it is still unclear what instigated the collision.

“We are just detaining all the parties to see exactly what happened,” said Lt. Bryan Aguilera of the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

No one has been arrested as of 4:45 p.m. although a woman, who was initially uncooperative, was detained at gunpoint.
