A woman was airlifted after injuring her leg along a hiking trail in Towsley Canyon in Newhall Saturday morning, according to officials with the L.A. County Fire Department.
She was a couple miles out the trail when she injured either her leg or ankle. Fortunately, a helicopter was already nearby and was able to transport her.
The injury was not that serious according to Supervisor Bernard Peters of the L.A. County Fire Department.
“The copter happened to be in the area,” he said.
The incident was reported around 9:52 a.m.
