Three adults and a child were injured and taken to the hospital late Tuesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash on Newhall Ranch Road.

The four-vehicle traffic collision happened about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday on Newhall Ranch Road at the Santa Clarita Parkway, Sgt. Dan Peacock of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station told The Signal.

The intersection on Newhall Ranch Road sits between Bouquet Canyon and Golden Valley Road.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department took at least three people to the hospital, Fire Department Supervisor Cheryl Sims said.

One person who witnessed the rescue efforts saw a fourth person placed into an ambulance.

In all, two adult woman, one man and one girl, who appeared to be in her pre-teens, were treated for injuries and taken to the hospital.

Vehicles involved in the crash included a Ford car, Subaru SUV, Toyota car and a work truck with wooden panels.

Sheriff’s deputies investigating the crash shut down the eastbound lanes of Newhall Ranch Road, causing rush hour traffic to back up to Bouquet Canyon Road.
