SCV Sports Report: Wildcats boys golf conquers

West Ranch boys golf defeated Burroughs 397-475 Tuesday afternoon at Valencia Country Club.

The Wildcats’ Favian Busnawi carded 5-over 77 as the medalist. Jack Dudeck was 6-over, Gunnar Murray was 8-over and Diego Renteria and Andy Lee were both 9-over.

The Cats move to 6-1 on the season with the win.

Grace Brethren 235, Trinity 254

Ellie Kim and Leslie Kim were the Knight’s co-ed golf team’s top performers, with the former finishing the day with an 8-over 52 and the latter with a 9-over.

Trinity next plays Hillcrest Christian at Los Robles Golf Course tomorrow.

Boys volleyball

Golden Valley 3, Glendale 2

The Grizzlies won in five with game scores of 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, 25-13, 15-12. The Grizzlies improve to 10-2 and take on West Ranch next Thursday.

Calabasas 3, Canyon 0

Game scores were 25-11, 25-13, 25-15. The Cowboys are now 1-4 and next play Oak Park tomorrow.

Calabasas 2, Canyon 0 (JV)

The Cowboys fell 25-10 in the first game and 25-11 in the best-of-three contest.
