Hiker airlifted south of Placerita Canyon Road

One stranded hiker was rescued by helicopter near a cliff south of Placerita Canyon Road between Golden Oak Ranch and Placerita Nature Center, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The patient was then taken to Golden Oak Ranch where he was assessed by paramedics.

The hiker did not sustain any injuries.

The call went out to officials at 4:08 p.m.
