Law enforcement recovered a stolen vehicle Saturday morning after a tracking device in the car led officials to the vehicle’s location.

“We received the call at 10:53 a.m. that a car was reported stolen from Firebrand (Drive) in Castaic,” said Ignacio Somoano, lieutenant with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

According to Somoano, the owner of the vehicle had a tracking device that plotted his silver Honda Civic near the 25200 block of Wiley Canyon.

“When deputies arrived, they did find the vehicle and did some surveillance,” Somoano said. “No suspects returned to the vehicle.”

The car was returned to the owner.

No arrests have been made and no injuries were reported.  Officials cleared the scene at 11:45 p.m.
