Two-story house catches fire in Castaic

A two-story house caught fire Sunday afternoon in Castaic and the blaze was fortunately contained to the attic, according to L.A. County Fire officials.

Fire officials are unable to say yet what prompted the blaze that required the response of eight units with the L.A. County Fire Department.

The fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. on the 31100 block of Riverdale Place in Castaic.  The flames were knocked down by 3:56 p.m.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.
