Brush fire slows traffic on I-5 near Vista Del Lago

At least seven engines and two helicopters have been dispatched to tackle a two-acre fire that sparked south of Vista Del Lago Road near Interstate 5 Sunday afternoon, according to L.A. County Fire officials.

The fire was ignited from a vehicle traveling on Interstate 5.

The incident was reported around 4:41 p.m. and has resulted in a SigAlert closing the 3 and 4 lanes of the southbound Interstate 5 as of 5 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol traffic information page.

No structures are in danger. No injuries to pedestrians or firefighters have been reported.
