Lunch hour Tuesday became a frenzied scene of bumping cars on Bouquet as two separate hit-and-run collisions occurred at the same spot within the same hour.

Although an ambulance was called in connection with the first of two crashes on Bouquet Canyon Road near Newhall Ranch Road, no one was reportedly injured in either collision, Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said.

The first hit-and-run crash happened shortly after 1 p.m., prompting a response by firefighters at 1:06 p.m., Vanessa Lozano, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

“Sheriff’s deputies were en route to the call,” she said.

Initially, deputies received reports that a motorist suspected in the hit-and-run pointed a gun at the motorist who ended crashing his vehicle.

“There was a report of a gun but there was no gun,” Miller said.

The second hit and run crash happened shortly after 2:15 p.m. on Bouquet Canyon Road just north of Newhall Ranch Road, across the street from the Best Buy store.

“The (hit and run) driver is still outstanding,” Miller said shortly after 3 p.m.
