The Signal and College of the Canyons are teaming up to empower the Santa Clarita Valley with information from domestic violence crisis experts and well-known guest speakers.
Through free break-out sessions and information from law enforcement officials, social workers and many more professionals, the 2nd Annual Domestic Violence Summit hopes to make a difference across the nation by transforming a private crisis into community action.
The free event is hosted at the Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook University Center and includes a continental breakfast, lunch and many sessions tailored toward liberating those shackled by domestic violence and informing those who want to know more.
Keynote Speaker: Patricia Wenskunas is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Crime Survivors, Inc.
Closing Speaker: Ana Figueredo shares a story about breaking away and surviving domestic violence.
