Meet “Rosie the Riveter” and several ladies and gentlemen from “the 1940s” as we Honor the Greatest Generation this year on Memorial Day, May 29th at 10:00AM.
Santa Clarita Valley Veterans Memorial, Inc. and Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary hope that you will join us at Eternal Valley, 23287 Sierra Highway in Newhall for our annual tribute to SCV’s Fallen Warriors, deceased Veterans and all Veterans.
You will witness a vintage airplane fly-over by our Condor Squadron, including their “Missing Man Formation” honoring all who gave the ultimate sacrifice in war. We’ll have a Flag Ceremony by Simi Valley’s Marine Corps League and our local Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 355, World War II Veteran Speaker Lee Shulman, and patriotic and WWII era music. Our Remembrance Room will feature WWII memorabilia provided by many SCV citizens, Veterans and the Red Cross. Mayor Cameron Smyth is our guest speaker. As part of our annual ceremony, over 1,100 deceased Veteran names engraved on our Memorial Wall will be read by local citizens. Eternal Valley to provide numerous golf carts to transport guests from our parking areas to our ceremony site and will host a light lunch upon conclusion of our event.
