PATRIOT DAY 2017 hosted by Richard Rioux Park Senior Club & Prayer Angels for the Military.  A National Day of Service & 9/11 Remembrance with a collection drive to support our LOCAL Santa Clarita troops with care packages from home. A free event for all ages. Guest Speaker Josie Sandi, USMC Veteran/Dist Rep-Congressman Steve Knight. Chili Cook-off Contest. Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest for children. Card making, coloring sheets, & letter writing for our local troop care packages. Candlelight Prayer at Dusk. Enter the Chili cook-off by calling the park office at (661) 222-9536. Bring a donation, if you can.

Most needed troop items: Individually wrapped snack items like granola bars, energy bars, Jerky, trail mix, drink packets for water bottles (Crystal Light, Propel). Pop-top cans of Ravioli, chili, hearty soups & fruit,  thick cotton crew socks (black or white), body wash, baby wipes, soft toilet paper . Tax deductible shipping funds are also needed.
