On Saturday evening April 14, The Local Group Astronomy Club of Santa Clarita is hosting a free public Star Party at Vasquez Rocks Natural Area. We will have a large number of amateur astronomers with many telescopes set up for your viewing pleasure. Come look at planets, nebulae and galaxies with your own eyes. Enough looking at pictures! Come see the wonders of the night sky in person.

Check out the full event details at http://lgscv.org/events/376.

Please arrive before sundown (7:23pm) and park in the lot next to the big rocks with your headlights facing away from the scopes. All park rules apply.

We will be holding a free telescope workshop beginning at 5:30pm prior to the event. Bring out that old scope and we’ll help you get it working.
