Summer Art Festival at Tournament Players’ Club

The Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA) announces a Summer Art Festival to run from Sept. 8 -9, from 9-6 pm at Tournament Players Club (TPC). On Friday evening, the 8th, there will be a music night at the Patios starting at 6 pm where a live band will be performing for dinner patrons. The following night, September 9, a free artists’ reception will be held from 5-8 pm featuring live entertainment, appetizers and desserts with a no-host bar.

Twenty-five local artists will exhibit more than 100 pieces of art during the festival at 26550 Heritage View Ln., Valencia (Valencia Exit off Route 5).

“The public is invited to view the art show anytime and to join our artists’ reception,” said Zony Gordon, event coordinator. Artists will provide live demonstrations in a wide variety of styles and media. “You’re invited to look over their shoulders and ask questions. Local officials, artist members and art leaders will grace the occasion.” For more information, call Zony at 661.312.3422.

Although the golf course is private to members, the restaurant is open to the public for lunch and dinner, and the food is fabulous. People gravitate from the restaurant and golf course to see high-quality art. TPC hosts corporate meetings, private parties, weddings, birthdays, celebrations and social events.

Also, artists are also currently exhibited on the walls of TPC. Art collaboration is being done with TPC Executive Director Troy Hooper.  For inquiries about TPC, call 661-288-1995.

In its 29th year, SCAA’s main goal is to make visual art visible in the community. It provides free art demonstrations to the public; participates in community events; awards yearly scholarships for high school art students and College of the Canyons; and loans art to local medical offices and facilities to uplift the spirits of patients. The SCAA website is www.santaclaritaartists.org
