California State Parks presents Summer Weekend Tours at Fort Tejon State Historic Park. All are welcome, no reservation is necessary. Tours will be included in regular day use admission. The Event: Summer Weekend Tours
When: Saturdays & Sundays during Summer except July 6, 7, & 21. Check out Fort Tejon State Historic Park’s Facebook page for official weekend tour dates.
Where: Fort Tejon State Historic Park
Time: 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Activities: Full tour will begin at 12 p.m. The tour will include a meet and greet with staff near the visitor center and a guided walk through the historic grounds. The tour comes free with regular day use admission of $3 for adults, $1 for children 7-17 years old, and children 6 years old and under are free. No pre-registration is required.
FORT TEJON STATE HISTORIC PARK is located on Interstate 5, just north of Lebec, about 36 miles south of Bakersfield and about 77 miles north of Los Angeles. Park admission fee is $3 for adults, $1 for children aged 7 – 17 years, and children under 6 years of age are free. The Park has no food concessions. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and relax under the magnificent Valley Oaks at the old post.
