College of the Canyons football got back on the winning track Saturday with a 26-10 win over Moorpark College in a National Division, Northern Conference road contest.
The Cougars, who had dropped four games in a row, are now 3-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
COC quarterback Matt Moore completed 22-of-34 passes for 319 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
One of those scores went to receiver Marquise Brown near the end of the third quarter to give the Cougars a 20-10 lead.
Ethan Lazarek’s second receiving TD of the day set the final score with 3:58 left in the game.
Lazarek caught two passes in the game for 83 yards.
Brown hauled in six passes for 101 yards.
Jerel Hall led COC with 10 tackles and a sack.
