The ice skating and hockey arena near Valencia High School was an economic victim of the coronavirus pandemic but the city of Santa Clarita in 2020 agreed to buy the facility and it’s 5+ acres of land for $14.49 million. This week the city has entered awarded a five-year contract to American Sports Entertainment and the LA Kings to run the facility. But a reopening date is unclear because of COVID-19 protocols.
