A man described as a transient was arrested Thursday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a lieutenant with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said Friday.

Michael Clark, 61, was arrested Thursday morning after he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman who asked him to leave her apartment complex, said Lt. Brenda Cambra who oversees the department’s Detective Section.

“On Sept. 30, the victim contacted the suspect regarding his trespassing on private property,” she said.

“The suspect pointed a black handgun at the victim after being told to leave an apartment complex.

“The victim, who was in fear for her life, drove away and immediately reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Department.

“The suspect was located by deputies a couple days later and was arrested,” Cambra said.

Clark, unemployed, was taken into custody with bail set at $50,000.
