CHP seeks help with hit & run investigation

The California Highway Patrol released this news release.

 

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Central Los Angeles California Highway Patrol Area office is seeking the public’s help in locating a hit and run suspect who fatally struck a pedestrian on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at approximately 4:20 a.m.

The pedestrian was struck and killed in the eastbound lanes of the I-10 freeway (Santa Monica Freeway) west of Western Ave.

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene immediately following the collision.

Based on evidence collected at the scene, the suspect vehicle sustained moderate damage to the left front headlight assembly.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the suspect vehicle is possibly an early 2000 Ford Econoline Van, White in color (similar to vehicle displayed below).

 

Anyone with information about this vehicle or anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact investigating Officer R.
