LOS ANGELES – Metrolink will have a limited service schedule during the holidays.
Metrolink will operate its normal schedule across all lines on Christmas Eve, Saturday Dec. 24 and on Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25. On the federally recognized holiday of Monday, Dec. 26, Metrolink will once again operate its Sunday schedule with regular weekday fares. Metrolink will resume normal service on all lines Tuesday, Dec. 27.
On New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31 and on New Year’s Day, Sunday, Jan. 1, Metrolink will again operate its regular weekend schedule.
On the federally recognized New Year’s Day holiday of Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, Metrolink will operate a Sunday schedule on all lines with slight modifications to the San Bernardino and Antelope Valley lines allowing extra time for those attending the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade® in Pasadena.
To serve the 128th Rose Parade, the first train (train 349, normally train 351) on Metrolink’s San Bernardino Line will operate early, departing San Bernardino at 6:10 a.m. making all station stops. The train will arrive at Los Angeles Union Station at 7:45 a.m.
On the Antelope Valley Line, the first train (train 258, normally train 260) will depart Lancaster at 5:40 a.m., arriving at Union Station at 7:40 a.m.
From L.A. Union Station, passengers can transfer at no additional charge to the Metro Gold Line and get off at the Del Mar, Memorial Park, Lake, or Allen stations. The parade route is just a short walk from the stations.
Metrolink will resume normal service on all lines Tuesday, Jan. 3.
