Pocock Brewery enacted it’s motto of “embrace life, drink good beer” by hosting hundreds for a special beer festival held just outside the company’s headquarters in Valencia on Saturday.
The event was held to celebrate the brewery’s one-year anniversary.
“The goal with today is really just to celebrate, the city has been great, people have really embraced us,” Todd Tisdell, one of the owners at Pocock Brewery said.
“We just really wanted to throw a big party.”
Around 300 people turned out to the event, which featured 15 other breweries from around Southern California.
Some of the aforementioned being Acoustic Ales Brewing from San Diego, Scholb Premium Ales from Torrance and Poseidon Brewing Company from Ventura.
“(We wanted to expose) some of these breweries to Santa Clarita and vice versa,” Tisdell said.
Canyon Country resident Sheri Divall had fun at the event, as she told The Signal while holding a glass of ale.
“It’s wonderful to have all of these independent breweries come together in one place, it’s fantastic,” she said.
All proceeds from Saturday’s event benefited the Castaic and SCV Education Foundations.
