The Vikings won a Tuesday night road match to remain undefeated at 2-0. Cesar Dominguez scored two goals, while Luke Fowble, Brennon Book and Matt Lopez each had one apiece. Valencia continues play on Thursday against Calabasas.
Hart 2, Chavez 0
The Hart High varsity boys soccer team beat Chavez High of San Fernando, 2-0, on Monday at home to move to 4-0 on the year. The Indians scored once in each half (who scored wasn’t available).
Varsity girls soccer
Golden Valley 1, Chatsworth 1
The Grizzlies allowed an opposing goal for only the second time this season, as their record moved to 2-0-2 on the season. Emily Perez scored GV’s goal and was assisted by Marilyn Cabrera.
Santa Paula 1, Saugus 0
The Cents were unable to capitalize on scoring chances, falling on the road to Santa Paula, who scored on a free kick from 25 yards out. Saugus is now 1-1 and plays Calabasas on Thursday at home.
West Ranch 3, Chaminade 1
Julia Watler scored twice and Sydney Marbach tacked on another goal to seal the Wildcats’ win. West Ranch is now 1-1-1.
Varsity girls basketball
Westlake 46, Trinity 25
Taylor Oshiro led the Knights (2-1) with 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
Hannah Looney added six points and six rebounds in a game the Knights led late in the third quarter.
