Officials quickly put out vehicle fire on Interstate 5

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Interstate 5 north of Calgrove Boulevard, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Officials were dispatched to the fire at 1:43 p.m. and the flames were put out eight minutes later.

The pickup truck burned on the right shoulder and the fire did not spread to the surrounding brush and no injuries were reported.

According to the Traffic Incident Information Page, some lanes were temporarily held. All lanes were open at 2:28 p.m.
