The City of Santa Clarita Public Works and LA County Department of Public Works have been hard at work to ensure the safety of the public during and after yesterday’s severe storms. Crews worked overnight to block impassable roads and assist public utilities with safety issues related to downed power lines.
Do not attempt to drive through standing or moving water. Just six inches of water could carry away a vehicle.
As you are driving, please be cautious of boulders or other debris in the roadway, and report downed power poles and odors of natural gas immediately by calling 9-1-1. Do not ever touch downed power lines.
