College of the Canyons quarterback Andrew Brito threw 5 touchdown passes in the Cougars season opener against the Antelope Valley College Marauders in Lancaster.
Cougars 42, Marauders 30
After a one yard run by running back Alonso Reeves, the Marauders tailed the Cougars and never held the lead.
The Cougars now face the Orange Coast College Pirates on September 9.
