Belmont University, Nashville, TN
This summer, Belmont has sent its largest group of students across the world for study abroad experiences. With more than 650 students participating in 34 programs, including Maymester trips, students have spent time in Greece, Brazil, England, France, Switzerland and Haiti, among many other locations. Cal Poly Pomona, Pomona, CA
Dena Jones of Santa Clarita, has been named to the President’s Honor List at Cal Poly Pomona, Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture during her recently completed Spring Quarter 2017. Her GPA is 3.84 and she is working toward her degree in Food Science and Technology.
Jones is a 2013 graduate of Canyon High School and 2016 graduate of College of the Canyons.

Colgate University Class of 2020 member Anna Hart, from Santa Clarita, has earned the spring 2017 Dean’s Award for academic excellence.
The Dean’s Award at Colgate is awarded to students with a 3.3 or higher term average.
Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS
Esther Vogler of Santa Clarita, was among 2,124 students who completed associate, bachelor’s or graduate degrees at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kan., in the spring 2017 semester.
Vogler received a Bachelor of Business Administration in management.
Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY
Hannah Thomas of Santa Clarita, an Occupational Therapy major, was named to the Dean’s List in Ithaca College’s School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the spring 2017 semester.
Simpson University, Redding, CA
James Lemus of Santa Clarita, graduated from Simpson University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Simpson University’s graduation ceremony took place on April 29, 2017.
State University of New York Oswego, Oswego, NY
Katelin E. Thompson of Newhall has reserved a place among more than 1,400 freshmen at SUNY Oswego. She last attended West Ranch High School and intends to major in linguistics at Oswego. Fall 2017 classes will begin Aug. 28.

Rebecca Ho of Santa Clarita, was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester at Washington University in St. Louis by earning a grade point average of 3.6 or above. Ho recently graduated from the university’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
