California State Prison searching for runaway prisoner

Officials are searching for an inmate who walked away from the California State Prison in Lancaster on Saturday night, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Jason Kohr, 36, was declared missing when he was unaccounted for during an institutional count at 9 p.m. on Saturday night.

He is described as a “white male, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 187 pounds with hazel eyes and a shaved head.”

He was last seen that day at 4 p.m. during the prisoner’s evening meal.

Local law enforcement have been notified and CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety agents have been deployed to apprehend the prisoner.
