Police officers are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon incident on the 18000 block of Grace Lane in Canyon Country.

“It appears at this time that it all stemmed from a road rage incident,” said Sgt. Hudson of the SCV Sheriff’s Department.

When the two female drivers pulled over on Grace Lane, the argument escalated into a fist fight.  Shortly after, a man believed to be a friend of one of the drivers, stepped in to help.

The outnumbered woman then pulled a knife on her opponents and slashed the man in the hand while reportedly injured herself in the process.

The male victim is currently being treated for “non life threatening injuries” at Henry Mayo Hospital and the knife wielding woman was taken into custody.
