A Saugus man who allegedly took out his anger Sunday by jumping on the hood of a car was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism.

The alleged incident happened Sunday morning, around 8:30 a.m., prompting a response by deputies of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to reports of vandalism in the parking lot of a business on Kelly Johnson Parkway.

An unemployed 44-year-old man, described by the arresting deputies as 5-foot-9 and 210 pounds, got upset with one of his relatives, a woman in her 60s, then threw his cellphone and jumped on her car, said Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect jumped on the hood of the victim’s vehicle a few times, causing large deep dents on the hood of vehicle,” she said Monday.
