Rep. Katie Hill, D-Agua Dulce, announced Tuesday she raised more than a half-million dollars in the first fundraising quarter of the 2020 campaign.

In total, Hill raised nearly $560,000, a news release stated, mentioning Hill stayed true to her commitment to not taking any corporate PAC money. With more than 6,200 individual contributions, 82 percent of Katie’s fundraising came directly from individual donors.

“To start the 2020 campaign so strongly, with so much support from the people who helped build this movement, is simply incredible,” Hill said in the release. “Being this community’s voice in Washington is a responsibility I take very seriously, and to know I continue to have their strong support is humbling. I am so grateful for their confidence.”

Hill added, “We are starting this campaign strong because people feel like they are finally being heard. This community deserves results on issues like housing they can afford, quality health care and a government they can trust. I am honored to have the opportunity to fight for those priorities every single day on behalf of our community.”
