Deputies who last week cleaned up a problem-plagued block on Pine Street made a return visit to that street Thursday, arresting three on suspicion of trespassing.

A woman and two men were taken into custody after deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to complaints about people shooting BB guns in the area.

“At about 7:35 a.m. we received a call from the 24000 block of Pine Street for four male Hispanics shooting BB guns at the back of one of the buildings,” Crime Prevention Sgt. Dan Dantice said Thursday.

No one was reported hurt, he added.

“We made contact with three individuals who were not residents of that area,” Dantice said. “They were residents of Newhall, just not there.”

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., one woman and two men were arrested on suspicion of trespassing, he said.

“They refused to leave, and so they were arrested,” he said.

The three suspects were arrested at the entrance of a garage on Pine Street that was raided by the COBRA team last week.

On April 18, the COBRA team and city code enforcers responded to the concerns of residents about alleged drug dealing, graffiti, littering, loitering, drinking in the street and noise on the 24000 block of Pine Street.

In last week’s cleanup effort, three people were arrested on suspicion of felonies, two on misdemeanors and two were issued citations.
