A man arrested on suspicion of burglary and vandalism, both felonies, is not likely to forget where he arrested Monday, on Hard Luck Road.
On Monday night, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a burglary in progress on Hard Luck Road, near the Pyramid Lake Los Alamos Campgrounds, said Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies found a man allegedly trying to break in to an RV trailer that belonged to his ex-girlfriend, Miller said.
Propane tanks and jumper cables were among the items deputies allegedly found in the suspect’s possession and identified as belonging to the victim.
The same suspect is also alleged to have damaged the door handle of the trailer and to have allegedly shattered the moon roof of his ex-girlfriend’s Mercedes, Miller said.
The suspect, arrested at 9:15 p.m. Monday, is a 46-year-old general contractor who lives in Van Nuys.
His bail was set at $70,000.
