Local deputies were looking for a man who snatched a cellphone from the AT&T Store in Stevenson Ranch Thursday afternoon, dashed out of the store and ran away.
The incident happened at 1:45 p.m. on the 24900 block of Pico Canyon Road at The Old Road.
Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded immediately to the call.
“We had a report of one male suspect who came into the store, stole a phone and ran northbound across the parking lot and out of sight,” Lt. Jim Royal said.
The thief was described as wearing a black and red jumpsuit.
Shortly after the incident, store staffers closed the store.
