After a pair of disappointing finishes at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama and the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Santa Clarita native Colton Herta is looking to bounce back at the INDYCAR Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday.

The rookie, racing for Harding Steinbrenner Racing, heads into the weekend tenth in points.

Friday practice and qualifying were good to the 19-year old, as he put down the fastest lap times in the second practice. He lead the way in the first two rounds of qualifying before ultimately qualifying fourth in the final round.

“The GESS International car was great today, it had really great balance.” Herta told the media following qualifying. “We haven’t been in the Firestone Fast Six since we raced at the Circuit of the Americas, so it was great to be back this weekend. I look forward to having a great race tomorrow for the INDYCAR Grand Prix.”

The INDYCAR Grand Prix will air Saturday on NBC at 12:30 p.m.
