Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies detained one suspect after they received reports of stolen property on Wednesday afternoon in Canyon Country.
Deputies set up a containment on Jakes Way and Sandy Drive in the area around 2 p.m. as they searched a black sedan in the area.
“Deputies set up containment in the area,” said Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station. “They’re searching for a male adult suspect for reports of a stolen vehicle.”
The containment continued until deputies had apprehended one suspect, according to Miller.
The victim was on the scene retrieving their vehicle shortly after the containment was broken down, Miller said.
