Having met celebrities throughout her life, it was only natural for Shirley O’Connell to joke with the residents at Atria Senior Living if they wanted an autograph from her during her 103rd birthday celebration on Thursday. Born on Jan. 9, 1922, attendees heard about O’Connell’s life from staff at Atria, ranging from her geocaching stardom, to her life as a mom of three and small business owner.
