Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are looking for a suspect in an assault reported in the early morning hours Wednesday, according to station officials.
Deputies received a 911 call shortly after 3 a.m. to Bouquet Canyon Road, according to Deputy Nicolas Marinelli, of the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Magic Mountain Parkway and Bouquet Canyon Road and found a man who said he was attacked by another man with a metal pipe, according to Marinelli.
Deputies did not know whether the suspect and the victim knew each other at that time.
The suspect had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived. There was no information available regarding a description of the suspect.
There was no information available regarding whether the victim was treated for medical injuries, according to station and fire officials.
L.A. County Fire Department officials did not have a record of a call for medical service associated with the 911 call, according to Kaitlyn Aldana of the L.A. County Fire Department.
The latest crime numbers available from the Sheriff’s Department, which are through July, indicate that despite several investigations this week, the number of Part-I crimes is down nearly 19% in a year-to-date comparison with 2024.
Last year, there were 175 aggravated assaults reported to the station through July 31, 2024; there have been 134 through the same time period in 2025.
