Satna Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a 27-year-old Compton man on suspicion of child abuse and domestic violence after a fight between a couple at their Canyon Country home prompted a 911 call.

Station deputies arrived at the 27300 block of Whites Canyon Road regarding a report of a domestic disturbance, according to an email Tuesday from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

The incident report was for “a domestic disturbance call involving a verbal argument between the victim, a female adult, and the suspect, a male adult, who are in a dating relationship,” according to Miller’s email.

“The dispute escalated into a physical altercation. During the incident, the victim’s minor son became involved, resulting in allegations of child abuse. Both victims declined medical treatment on scene.”

Miller said the man was arrested on suspicion of two misdemeanor allegations: child abuse and domestic violence.

Miller confirmed the incident is under investigation by the Detective Bureau of the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
